Breast cancer is a rapidly growing public health concern, particularly in Kerala, where the incidence rate is the highest in the country. Despite the state’s
progressive healthcare system, many women, especially those from rural and underprivileged communities, lack access to early screening and awareness about breast health.

Recognizing this urgent need, SSREE Foundation has partnered with Kudumbasree, a grassroots-level organization, to launch a
comprehensive Breast Cancer Awareness and Early Detection Programme. This initiative aims to empower women with knowledge and provide accessible screenings using the innovative iBreast Exam technology. By leveraging Kudumbasree’s extensive network, this program targets underprivileged women across Kerala, ensuring that breast cancer is detected early and treated promptly, reducing mortality rates and improving overall health outcomes.
